THE HARD AND EASY OF IT

A little bit of being sorta ‘newzy’ this a.m.

First off… Happy Birthday Rachel.  How dare you keep getting older.

Second…A client gave me a great idea for a story.  It’s brewing within me right now and I’m not yet ready to share it.  I’m not sure of it’s format yet and…. it’s got me all a twitter.  So fun when that happens.  Thanks Susanne.

and let’s see, what other news.  Oh, I’m gonna hear some Zydeco music tonight at the Ark.  Terrence Simien and the Zydeco Experience.  E’tu cher.

The rest of my news will bore you. and me too.

 On the with poetry.

I found the gift in knowing you

not for the hard or easy of it’s uncovering

we both know the story of that hard and easy

I felt it there on the edges of us

waiting, trumped by mother’s love

held to our deep desire beyond that

The heart called out and we answered

The heart is not always tender on the surface

It is always vulnerable cut open, exposed

Trust calls us witness to the exposure

lays the tender on the plater of life

We are all hungry for it.

It is here that the gift can be taken

when I trust that you will love me

No matter what the hard or easy of it ever was

There is always a hard an easy to love.

It is the gift of knowing you.

Can you consider mixing the impossible and it working?

How can you make this day more creative?

Is it OK if it’s not perfect?
