Present in the breath
Inhale gives way to exhale
We breathe the same air
Try to hold the wind
Capture the unseen moment
Revel in your flight
YOu are an altar
Treasure of life made whole-ly
No breath is alone
It’s slow going with the return of light. And, it’s a coming. Days are finding themselves a little longer.
A LITTLE SHARING…
I’m not sure how I got directed to this website and it’s lovely. Tho’ I do not fit the Christian tradition in certain ways, I do embrace my own understanding of it and deep appreciation for elements of it. I invite you to take a look and tell me what you think. http://abbeyofthearts.com/
She made an invitation of choosing a word for the year. A word that best describes what you might like to ponder, explore, and deepen your understanding of, in relationship within and around you. Many words rose in me that I could feel push at me, that called me to consider. “Pick me”. Well… I took several days to contemplate it; thinking dang, I need more than one word. I decided on one word that I felt was not only a word I feel deeply connected to, it was a word that with out the action of it none of us would be here.
I choose, ‘Breath’. I have chosen this word before, or it chosen me. When I concentrate on my breath, when I am mind-full of my breathing, I feel fully present in the moment. Simply breathing, noticing the inhale and the exhale, nothing more than the gentle moment of life force filling me. No other thoughts, just the concentration, even if for a few moments of Being present in my breath. So, ‘Breath’ it is.
What word might you consider for yourself in this New Year? I’d love to have you share that. Thanks.

How do you give luster/shine to your life?
How would you define the difference between instincts and intuition?
What determines for you which one you will follow and when?
What are three attributes of good communications skills?
I like the way you describe each person as an alter in your poem…

One of my favorite words has always been JOURNEY. I’m sticking with it! I like your haiku–they are great examples of the form.
