This poem has been inspired by Andrew Harvey. I speak this out loud as I simmer in the brew of what comes up for me with this question.
May we all take love in action on behalf of what breaks our heart open.
~
What breaks your heart open
Is where love calls you to action
begs you to follow.
~
What breaks your heart open
when every betrayal in this
Earth bound continuum
storms your door
~
What breaks your heart open
that makes every choice
in your world the One choice
~
What breaks your heart open
and dives you into the cavern
of your soul’s darkest night
~
What breaks your heart open
when nothing else could
possibly matter
~
What breaks your heart open
in the still of a starry night
when the war of humanity
needs your voice, Now.
~
What breaks your heart open
that threatens All that you have
come to believe is the righteous truth.
~
What breaks your heart open
that if you do not take action
on behalf of That wide-open
of knowing you might die empty
~
What breaks your heart open
SO vast, So tender, So unspeakably
urgent that to Not take action
on behalf of that heart opening
the world as you know it will end.
~
What breaks your heart open
and you push that pain away
for another day, another day
another day
~
What breaks your heart open
and the flood of that ache
nearly drowns you, and you
must breathe underwater
and dive deeper still
~
What breaks your heart open
and the voice of that which
widens you beyond anything
that ever mattered before , calls
you to speak up, take action.
Be the voice of Love Out loud.
~
What breaks your heart open?
