IN THE STILLNESS SHE IS MOST LOUD

In the stillness she is most loud

Singing and dancing in the quietude

Pleased with how it is her best kept secret

Where she keeps all of her whimsy and need

All of her rage and discontent

All of her wisdom and magic

It’s where she gives voice to herself

~

She doesn’t bother with those that

Out-loud above everyone else

Those that drown her out

in their righteous verbosity,

wall-flowering her against invisible walls

and into shadow corners

Those big selves all puffed up,

swilling words of lazy drivel

as if they are the elixir

of life.

~

In the stillness the best of her resides

in the vast landscape built on dreams and

and possibilities of how imagining everything

can have a place in her everywhere

in the ease of her inner eye

and her vocal heart

always feeling in on the look out

~

In the stillness she is most loud

avoiding the surrounding ease of chaos

in the overwhelm and consume of the

bantering and battling with

Ego fervor and fuck you’s

that breed more hallowed emptiness

in the presence of so much abundance.

~

She doesn’t bother with the noise anymore

Settled into the oasis of her inner

knowing, calm in the waiting

for her time when stillness and peace

Unity and love, a good earth and water

is what the starving masses hunger for

and the revolution of the heart in it’s

deep wisdom is the loud voice calling

Prompt, The Cruelest Month/s

Prompt from NaPoWriMo.net    The cruelest month.

~

hurricaneSandy

Every month has a way of strapping on bad weather

that puts you over its’ knee and spanks you like a child.

Like it was you that did the wrong thing;

a smart ass remark about lightening,

you made a bad snowman,

you pluck a flower from a neighbor’s yard,

you peed in the community pool.

You were extra naughty and now a storm is brewing

Like a big ass one that’s going to dump as much

cruelty and destruction as it can all over your bad decisions.

Nature wins and don’t you forget that.

Mountains of snow fall, the spiral destruction of

a tornado that takes your town down,

The flood that takes away your bicycle

or maybe your little sister, or puppy.

Your car is upside down in a snow bank,

The earth cracked open and ate the road home.

And all you did was not recycle, or maybe

you threw your car trash out the window.

Heaven forbid you put the wrong thing

down the toilet and now…

Take the blame, take the punishment

that the high drifts of winter’s sharing,

or the deluge of Springs floods,

not to forget how those Summer months

burn and leave the cancer of it on your flesh,

And then the Autumn comes all spicy

and ready for harvest and damn if she/he

doesn’t forget to give back like you thought she would.

Harvest those weeds you naughty person.

Starve like you deserve.

Every month has its cruel giving because

we’re all stripping the Earth and taking

without giving back, and peeing in the water

we swim in or worse drink.

Cutting away forests, fracking the land,

Spreading out our waste in every corner

of the world cause we’re busy using resources up.

And you wonder why nature straps on a good

storm and spanks the bejesus outta us.

Cruelty?  I call it “Come on People, wake UP”

Pantoum for Colliding Paradigms

Did Alice know?  Down the hole we go.  It’s not moving very slow… anymore.

COLLIDING PARADIGMS

A matrix of illusive illusions in call to kinship desires

Paradigms collide hoping for the win

Fear wants for the caress of love and safety

How the ease is made for these deceptions

Paradigms collide hoping for the win

Choices make way for diverse consequences

How the ease is made for these deceptions

“Only you can prevent forest fires”

Choices make way for diverse consequences

Power is not over other, it is within

“Only you can prevent forest fires”

Smokey the Bear modeled stewardship

Power is not over other, it is within

Stake your power to the Highest good

Smokey the Bear modeled stewardship

Your land needs your greatest care

Stake your power to the Highest Good

Fear wants for the caress of love and safety

Your land needs your greatest care

A matrix of illusive illusions in call to kinship desires

Trees breathe in starlight… found language.

I stole the first line of this poem from the quote below.  “Trees breathe in starlight…”  I found it lovely and magical.  I don’t think I’m done writing about it yet.  And this little poem feels just right right now.

IMG_3297winter in michigan.  A hoarfrost.

Trees breathe in starlight

The shimmer of the Milky Way

A dance of constellations

A rhythmic pulse of night glitter

Pulled down and in

held in bark and limb

twig and leaf

Seed and stem

The inhale of constellations

from all that Infinite

goes to root

And the Earth

feeds on heavenly

Light

“You know why trees smell the way they do? Stars. Trees breathe in starlight year after year, and it goes deep into their bones. So when you cut a tree open, you smell a hundred years’ worth of light. Ancient starlight that took millions of years to reach earth. That’s why trees smell so beautiful and old.”

Frances O’Roark Dowell.

The Way is Not Lost or Found

IMG_5627

THE WAY IS NOT LOST OR FOUND

It’s not that The Way is lost

Or you lost your Way,

or what is lost is way far away.

or that you need finding.

There is compliment in the way

getting lost calibrates your compass.

Bringing that crazy eight swiped in the air

to captures a moment of Infinity

that wants a moment of direction

from the center place of you already found.

When The Way needs you to breathe into it.

To re-calibrate the  purpose that is already yours

in the 360 from where you north, south

east and west yourself on the way home.

This fugue state is the pause, the inhale

and exhale, because the speed of light

Is too much for an earthly body to comprehend

while making Way to Enlightenment is already yours.

Being lost is the 3Dimensional duality to found.

That choice is not what is the matter of what matters.

It helps give rest and reflection

that holds sacred this journey.

The Way is not lost nor found

It is.

Life’s Weather … Haiku

Wisconsin sky

Winter’s best gave birth

Bound to white and freeze a wail

Sun makes for glitter

Sun makes for glitter

Youth storms and calms joyously

Many paths Spring green

Many paths Spring Green

Life lust wanders earth’s mystery

Be Here Now Be here

Be Here Now Be here

A landscape lush and fertile

Outer seeks inner

Outer seeks inner

Green gives of her abundance

Magic gives to blooms

Magic gives to blooms

Starry nights take the Sunlight

Autumn carpet ride

Autumn carpet ride

Green embraces her spicy

Breath takes in the shift

Breath takes in the shift

Edges of Winter slow to rest

Silence whispers yes

Silence

whispers

yes

BELTANE.. in haiku

may-pole-daisies-600kb

BELTANE HAIKU

Chant the seeding wish

Rainbow ribbons weave the pole

Spring green opens wide

Thin between the worlds

Dance sacred earth and heaven

Cast the blessing song

Weave the wish to truth

Let go of lost beginnings

Feel the dew refresh

Renew in Springs call

In meadow green dance the dance

Let love find you now
