MoonFlower

There is a sweet blossom melody

It lingers on the edge of this morning

After a crescent moon bath of scent

in the blue-black sky during dreamland

`

Open still in this cool awakening from

The summers days full of wet heat

gardens limp in the cry for raindrops

And the glory of datura opens to the night

`

Gives her full moon unfolding to the darkness

Stirring the shadows to her intoxication

With whispering promises of glory in twilight

To be remembered when dawn cracks open

`

And Sun spreads light on her wilting magic

Radiance takes her life in slow droops

Radiance takes her perfume back to the earth

Quiet now, still as a new moon sky twinkling

`

She closes her white velvet life to the morning

In the wrap of a mother protecting her seed

Rest comes in busy prepare of prickly pod

Daring you to snatch her children in day bright

`

For hundreds of melodies wait to be born

A symphony of night blossoms in full bloom

On a clear summer night next July inhaling

Again the fullness held within those seeds

I Am Convinced.

day 27… napowrimo

MAP FACE

I am convinced we are all like trees and grass
Sky and Sun, Moon and stars, rain and snow
Growing strong and burying our roots deep
Rising to greet the sun in a verdancy of excitement
Dreaming dreams in the vast blue beyond the
Midnight infinite sparkle and super nova
Cycling like the moon in the moody pattern
that keeps calling us to let our seasons winter
And summer, spring and fall, in their rest,
in their exuberance, their spice, their budding.
Do we not know all this birthing, living, and dying?
Re-birthing like the trees and grass, the sky and sun,
The moon and stars, in the rain and snow.
Rotating around in a Milky Way of togetherness
Never ceasing, alway cycling, leaving patterns,
re-creating, re-storing, giving back, taking away
In the ever after, ever more of me and you and us
Doing the same thing, here, there, far away and near
Rooting, budding, greening, living, flowering, dying
In the back to the earth it all goes and we start all
over again, and again, and again
What will convince you that you are One with All this?

A Terza Rima… for the Blood Moon

A terza rima poem..  DAY 15  napowrimo

red-moon-202x300

It snowed the early morning night

The clouds hid away the blood moon

I missed the full moons eclipsed light

I knew the moon would bring a swoon

Axis Aries Libra held a zodiac story

The cold night blanket was my cacoon

Dreams beneath the nights hidden glory

Attention to what fills the quester’s cup

Remembering what gave to the journey history

I drank the star light and I filled up

There was no matter to where I rest my head

The blood moon eclipsed a magic cup

Gracious was the night time fed

Behind the gloom where the snow fell

The Moon she made no suffer as she bled

Every she cycles in the heavens she dwells

Haiku Monday… day 14 LUNAR Eclipse.

Moon eclipse blood red

Between Earth and night fullness

Feel your tides rising

Ominous becomes full

Earth swipes across moon shining

What is open bleeds

What gives you fullness?

That eclipses across your night

Awakening your day
