The Sheltering Breath

The form of this Poem is a Triolet. See if you
can see and feel it's rhythm. It is a prompt from
the NaPoWriMo.net website. It goes likes this.

~~
THE SHELTERING BREATH

Nestled into the sheltering breath
Of how the days find rest in each other
In the alone shallow of the hardness of death
Nestled into the sheltering breath
Of warp and weave on life's eternal weft
In remembrance of the being held by other
Nestled into the sheltering breath
Of how the days find rest in each other

THE GREAT UN-KNOWN

PATH TO GALAXY

Brought here by the Great Unknown

Flipping through infinite space

Like I knew where I was going.

Landing here buried in my mother’s

womb to push out and breathe life again

Inhale and exhale this worldly experience

In the “oh my god” and “Are you kidding me”

Varied exclamations mixed with occasional

Expletives as my days ready to be tossed

Back out into the infinite salad bowl of

Terrestrial ingredients to switch it up

And get tossed into some other soup

Being birth all over again.

I’m waiting

for the seasons to chance

Waiting

for my rock to roll

Waiting

for these days to close

Till I dance with the

Great Unknown

SPRING HAS FOUND HER FACE… a triolet … day 23

23rd day of NaPoWriMo…  Today’s invitation/prompt, is to write a ‘triolet’.  Yippee, a new form to try.  Here is what a triolet is for those of you that can hardly wait, are quivering with unnatural excitement, to take this form on.  Whose in?:

“A triolet is an eight-line poem. All the lines are in iambic tetramenter (for a total of eight syllables per line), and the first, fourth, and seventh lines are identical, as are the second and final lines. This means that the poem begins and ends with the same couplet. Beyond this, there is a tight rhyme scheme (helped along by the repetition of lines) — ABaAabAB.”

SPRING HAS FOUND HER FACE

Thank heaven Spring has found her face

With green and Sun she comes to rise

Let the season begin the race

Thank heaven Spring has found her face

With hope she doesn’t leave in haste

To fast her leave would be a waste

Thank Heaven Spring has found her face

With green and Sun she comes to rise
