Nature Spirits are Seen

Day 5.. NaPoWriMo  New Moon in Aries

A Villanelle.  A french form of poetry that I feel compelled to try.  A first time dive.

The first line I choose to begin this poem is from the Astrological Sabian Symbol for this New Moon.

It spoke to me.  I read it on www.mysticmamma.com.   A worthy site for following the Lunation of the Moon

Nature Spirits are seen in the Light of Sunset

A finger snap out of the shadows dancing

Soften your eyes to the magic to see what you get

~

Quick in our ways of busy we forget

In child like wonder lives this remembrance

Nature Spirits are seen in the Light of Sunset

~

All hail to a heart wide open to be Spirit met

On the horizon in the forest light seen

Soften your eyes to the magic to feel what you get

~

In the meadows and gardens they set

Among the blooms of flower scent

Nature Spirits are seen in the Light of Sunset

`

Oh to be of a child’s mind in no regret

Of  joy and innocence with eyes wide open

Soften Your eyes to the magic to see what You get

~

Surrender, receive with innocent eyes re-set

Take in the Sunrise for recalibrated refresh

Soften your eyes to the magic to see what you get

Nature Spirits are seen in the Light of Sunset

lean in… come closer

IMG_2728

Days ago, I was inspired by my astrology friend Teri Parsley Starnes,( here is her blog, take a visit and you may read the article that inspired me.  http://starsdanceastrology.blogspot.com/ : ) to consider the idea of ‘leaning in” too.  Tho’ I take it to a different place (sort of) cause I’m not feeling a ‘lose of heart’ , I still found those two words stirred me up.  I made comment to it and she furthered shared this with me.

“Pema Chodron writes about ‘leaning in” too.  She wrote:  “  The next time you lose heart and you can’t bear to experience what your’re feeling, you might recall this instruction…  Change the way you see it, and Lean In.  Instead of blaming our discomfort on outer circumstances or on our weakness, we can choose to stay present and awake to our experience, not rejecting it, not grasping it, not buying the stories that we relentlessly tell ourselves,  This is priceless advice the addresses the true cause of suffering – yours, mine, and that of all living beings.

Thank you Teri.

Lean in, come closer

There is plenty here next to me

Abundance knows no limit

And empty readies for filling

Lean in, come closer

Settle in to love’s safety

Let wisdom pass silent between us

And the long dry finds moisture

Lean in, come closer

Soften the edges of try too hard

Lay your linger to gratitude

For you are enough as you are

Lean in, come closer

Need sometimes desires comfort

As She passes her cloud over you

And the Sun makes for a new day

Lean in, come closer

I will always love you forever after

As twilight calls us Home

And I lean into you like I always have

PANTOUM for a Full Moon

COFffeeee… aaaah.  Here it is, the ending of the month, the full moon dwindles away to find her return in another 28 days or so, the sun rises for the blue sky’s opening, and I ponder the day.

The moon reminds me of my fullness.  It was in Libra, which I then imagine the balance of my emotions; how I feel and think with the pushing of other peoples need to find balance or not for themselves.  The thing for me to remember is that I can not balance anyone else’s experience of the world around them.  I can only attend to mine and let go of any reaction to outburst  that sets the stage for reaction, that sets the stage for conflict.  Defensiveness lead to more defensiveness.  Breatheeeee and let it go.  If it’s important, I will attend to it after emotions cool and balance resets.

Today… A Pantoum.  I love the style of this poem.  I left you with the journey of it at the end of mine.  give it a try, it has a surprising magical-ness to it that  I enjoy in the writing and enjoy in the first read when I’m done.

I invite you, should you try this simple form, to not think/feel to hard about it or do any editing.  See what happens

I let the fullness of balance fill me

Expanding into the flow of the day

Sun gives rise in the blue of the sky

I get to rather than have to

Expanding into the flow of the day

Feeling the view of what I see in beauty

I get to rather than have to

Changes the perspective of doing

Feeling the view of what I see in beauty

Life’s camera clicks the moments

Changes the perspective of doing

Gives radiance in the gloom

LIfe’s camera clicks the moments

No need to linger in the panorama

Gives radiance in the gloom

What’s past gives way to what’s next

No need to linger in the panorama

Sun gives rise in the blue of the sky

What’s past gives way to what’s next

I let the fullness of balance fill me
