The Ending is a New Beginning

Day 30… the last day of National poetry Month.

Thank you to those who have followed and read my work.

I deeply appreciate that.

As is my favorite style of poetry, I give you a pantoum.

I will be gathering my pantoums for a poetry book.

Stay tuned.

BE HERE NOW

A day comes to sunset, a story ends, a loved one dies.

A relationship meets its closure, a beginning finds it’s end

And endings make a place for a new possibility

Life is woven in spirals, cycles of starts and finishes

~

A relationship meets its closure, a beginning finds its end

The in-betweens hold the reactions, the bitter and the sweet

Life is woven in spirals, cycles of starts and finishes

Curves and turns, betrayals and losses, the heart breaks

~

The in-betweens hold the reaction, the bitter and the sweet

The re-start is out of reach in the crush of life’s take away

Curves and turns, betrayals and losses, the heart breaks

A new day gives rise out of the dark night

~

The re-start is out of reach in the crush of life’s take away

And endings make a place for a new possibility

A new days gives rise out of the dark night

A day comes to sunset, a story ends, a loved one dies

BELTANE.. in haiku

BELTANE HAIKU

Chant the seeding wish

Rainbow ribbons weave the pole

Spring green opens wide

Thin between the worlds

Dance sacred earth and heaven

Cast the blessing song

Weave the wish to truth

Let go of lost beginnings

Feel the dew refresh

Renew in Springs call

In meadow green dance the dance

Let love find you now

BELTANE… seed yourself

This link is a lovely voice to this time of season, the invitation to feel the nature of your nature stir.  To allow yourself to really feel the elements within and around you awaken.  What do you notice?

Dance the Maypole

Dance the Maypole

BELTANE’S SEED OF DREAMS

Wide is the meadow of green

Lush is the carpet to barefoot dance

Beneath the Sun and Moon to

celebrate in the give of light in love

as you find the illumination made to

Brilliance into midnight’s smoky shadows

In the whirls with the twirls

in the greeting of renewal

Green smells new and mossy fresh

The body shivers in the Spring

breeze on the rise in ripple soft

waves on flesh, ready to feel

Nature’s nature from within

to the hungry naked roll on

the meadow’s carpet green

where a seed is planted for

summer’s bloom.

It is the swell of the seed within

from this seasoned land that calls for

life’s renewal in the chant and the

dance.  In the remembering of

life’s cycles starting here on this

May day for what may give to

birthing from what you dream

into being.

MAYPOLE HOB NOB

A joyous Beltane to you.  Should you be so inclined, please visit this site that can give you information about this sacred time of year for the Earth and those of us that honor this Celtic holiday  ..   LILACS FOR JO…

http://www.circlesanctuary.org/pholidays/beltane.htm

The simple celebration of the Maypole dance is one that I have done many times.  My tradition takes a 25 ft. piece of colourful ribbon and we write what  we desire to plant/bring/create/fertilize into our lives to come to fruition.  I also write what I am willing to let go of to give space for new seeds to be planted within me.  We tack it to the pole and weave between each other singing sacred chants to the Earth and to Spirit of Spring unfolding.  This year I will not be doing the literal Maypole dance, and I will be writing what I desire to seed in my inner garden.  How I might fertilize these seeds of kindness, compassion, goodness, and well-being.

How about you?  What do you wish to plant and seed in your life at this time?  What do you want to come to fruition?
